2025 AIYLC Student Application Package
April 24, 2025 through April 27, 2025
The 2025 Youth Leadership Conference begins on Thursday, April 24, 2025 with onsite student registration commencing at 1:00 p.m. and finishes Sunday, April 27, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. Parents may visit to observe the lessons at any point of the conference, but are especially encouraged to join us for the closing ceremony on Sunday beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Cost
Our conferences completely rely on the generous support of donors. The conference is FREE to students for 2025 as funding is available. If you are being sponsored by a parent, guardian, school, or other organization, please indicate that on your application, or contact AIYLC and we will assist all students in finding a sponsor.
This a value of $350 per student, which allows us to provide 4 days of lodging, meals, snacks, supplies, transportation, entrance fees to historical sites, and more. Donors may submit donations using Paypal through the donate link. If you are donating money for a particular student, please list that student’s name in the submission.
Application Deadline
The deadline to apply is targeted for March 21, 2025. For maximum compatibility, we recommend filling out the application forms with Adobe Reader.
Eligible Participants
High school students from public, private, or home schools. 45 students maximum per conference.
Location
The conference will be held at the scenic Jamestown 4-H Education Center, including sleeping accommodations, dining facilities, and food. The conference includes field trips to the Jamestown Settlement, Colonial Williamsburg, and the Yorktown Battlefield.

Dress Code:
- Collared shirts or non-controversial T-shirts.
- Clothing for all weather possibilities.
- Pants, jeans, or shorts. Skirts are not recommended for this environment.
- No ripped or fringed clothing-even if it is the style of the garment.
- No short-shorts, mini-skirts, midriff revealing, low necklines, or other revealing clothing.
- No wallet chains.
- No hats indoors, but they are permitted during the outdoor portion of tours.
- Shoes should be comfortable for a camp setting and walking tours.
- No JROTC uniforms are required.
Items to Bring:
- Pillow and bedding for a standard twin bed, or a sleeping bag.
- Toiletry items, washcloths, towels and soap, shower shoes (flip-flops).
- Camera, flashlight, sunscreen, sunglasses, bug spray, and raincoat/umbrella.
- Some money for memento shopping at guided tour site gift shops.
