Mr. Robert Reddy serves in retirement at Riverside Health as a Riverside at Home-Hospice Care Volunteer where he focuses on assisting veterans in the program.
Born in New Jersey and raised in Pennsylvania, Robert Reddy enlisted in the United States Army after graduating high school in 1966. He started as a rifleman in an Infantry squad and 35 years later was retired as a Colonel of Infantry. Some key assignments include 2nd Infantry Division; 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions; Army Recruiting Command; 1st Armored Division; Office of Deputy Chief of Staff, Operations, Headquarters; 2nd Battlion, 26th Infantry; the Defense Research Projects Agency; and Army Training Support Center. Upon retirement, He was hired by the United States Army as a GS-15 where he served for 15 years in Headquarters, Training and Doctrine Command; The Futures Center, now renamed Army Capabilities Integration Center, where he retired after combined service in the US Army of 50 years and one day. In retirement, he spent several years performing grounds maintenance and leading battlefield tours at the Yorktown Battlefield, Colonial National Historical Park.
